I made it through first semester. Term garments, this, that, hell and all that good stuff. Delirium hit me after a third day of no sleep and i realized that i have grown tremendously from this experience. I was the weakest link, and i prevailed and did it well. I am proud, and know that you only grow when you are pushed to the limit-to the verge of breakdown, exhaustion and doubt. I admit i am drippiiiiiinnggg with cheese as i say this but there is no other way. I made it and i will keep doing it because i love it, and i have faith in myself and what i am capable of and am lucky to have those around me that feel the same way. im so greasy right now i apologize ok that was very personal and exposing and im gonna post this before i have a chance to delete it so thereee. okkkk. now its time to toast in the sun and do whatever i want.

If I was a Dude.
Layer mismatched lengths to generate sophisticated new silhouettes.
Ethnic Influences
Elegantly disheveled aesthetics are relaxed and luxurious. NOT unkept.
This one speaks for itself.
and finally...who can pull this off other than devendra banhart?

Tribal Gathering
Be inspired by ethnic references this season, blending different tribal motifs and prints. Add in the free party vibe, and you get a mishmash of crosscultural color and print explosion...(im getting good at all this logical bs arent i?)

Stardust
I never liked science (or math). until maybe now....
Blending the worlds of science and art, Stardust is the result of an innovative collaboration between American artist Liliane Lijn and NASA's groundbreaking Stardust Project.
Lijn took part in a three-month residency at NASA's Space Sciences Laboratory at the University of California in 2005, where she became interested in aerogel - a futuristic material utilised in space exploration.
With a composition of up to 99.8% air, aerogel is the lightest and lowest-density solid known to exist. It has been used by NASA to collect stardust and cometary particles during space flight without damaging them.
Of her work, Lijn says: "I often make use of new technologies to create works that represent the world as energy. A constant dialogue between opposites, my sculptures use light and motion to transform themselves from solid to void, opaque to transparent, formal to organic."
I am mesmerized by the sheer beauty and magic of the translucent forms, almost holographic in their transient nature and sparkling with particles of stardust that are millions of years old.
This is a true example of the way science and art can influence each other; using innovation and technology to inspire, to challenge thinking and to capture the imagination.

NY ART
I continue to be inspired by the New York art scene and the underground movements, which constantly evolve and change - a momentum forces forward by the need to remain covert and misunderstood by the mainstream...not only the NY art movement, but the four main men behind it. Dan Colen, Ryan McGinley, Dash Snow, and Nate Lowman.
